Some Lighter Fare…The Ditty Bops

I was watching some late night talk show months (eons) ago and came across the cutest duo…The Ditty Bops.

From their 1930s sound and look to their toe-tapping melodies and intricate harmonies…I was totally captivated.

I know I don’t usually do posts about specific artists…but I thought The Ditty Bops would be a wonderful way to open the curtains and let in some sunshine here at Monkbot Talk…plus…they are really tons of fun.

Here is “In the Meantime” from their newly released album…”Moon Over The Freeway” (which I highly recommend).

And just so you can see how cute they are…a video for “Wishful Thinking” from their self-titled album.

    Ok, first….

    I llleerrrvvvveee Harmony….of all kinds.

    Second, these girls remind me of me and my BFF…except for the whole bustier and knife thing.

    Now, you’ve got me lonesome…off to make a call…

    Cute chicks! I love all things vintage…even if it’s repro-vintage or faux-vintage…so these chicks are way cool! Also- off topic, but…I just bought a teacup set similar to the one on the left at an antique store this weekend. I love it. It’s so cute. As am I.

    I was afraid no one would come out to play today.

    Yeah, the Ditty Bops are pretty dang cute…but nowhere near kittens and BAMA!

    Haha! I would never leave! You couldn’t beat me outta here with a stick.

    Besides, I didn’t say anything mean about Gray so I didn’t feel particularly chastised. Aside from being so cute…I’m a very kind person who would never say a harsh word against any other person…and, as I just posted over at Gray’s…I’m extremely intelligent. Oh, and I’m very humble.

    And I was never harsh about Gray. I loves me some Gray….in a maniacal brother sort of way.

    You weren’t harsh on Gray.

    Really no one was “harsh”…I was just trying to stop things from getting to that point.

    I totally don’t mind folks griping about Gray…or me…or whatever.

    Griping ain’t bad…as long as it’s done (say it together now class) constructively.

    I love the Ditty Bops. Cute girls singing cute songs.

    My roomie listens to them non-stop. He swears he’s in love with Amanda.

    I know, Ash…their songs are like Lay’s Potato Chips…you can’t listen to just one. 😉
