It’s 1 A.M. and I Can’t Sleep…

So, I’m surfing YouTube because it’s windy outside and Sadie is barking at the drop of every pine cone and leaf.

And I found another fine vid of the guy who brought us this classic.

For whatever reason…this also impressed the crud out of me.

And then I watched this response video to the one above and sat slack-jawed. But the best part is to go to the page this video is on and read the responses.

Please…in the name of all that’s good and right in the world…let me get some sleep.

Oh my word…that was the longest night of my life.

I feel like total crap this morning.

I was in the bed before 11 p.m. and just falling asleep by mighnight. Sadie woke me up around 12:20 the first time.

I tried to go back to sleep but Sadie was barking again at around 1:05.

She wouldn’t stop so I got up and went online.

Was back in bed a little before 2 a.m. and awake again at 4 a.m….don’t know why.

Between 4 and 6…I kept waking up and checking the clock.

Right now I feel a Mac Truck has hit me.

    I’m miserable.

I’m sorry my little Shelly Conchita Lamb! I hate nights like that! I was really restless last night too…but managed to get plenty of sleep. I hope you are able to catch up tonight!

So sorry Shelley about your sleepless night. I hate that. What is it w/dogs when they get a burr up their behinds and can’t stop barking at nothing? I love my 2 little canines, but when they do that it drives me nuts. I had a crapola night and am also. (I will not bore you w/the details because it had to do w/grumpy, pouty DH). Hope you make it thru the day and can go home and collapse into blissful zzzz’s.

Okay — let’s see if this works. I am a trained professional, after all.

Oh, that might not be the best song to use. Sorry!

(I did wonder why you were emailing me in the middle of your night. I haate insomnia!)

That stinks Shelley! I hope you make it through the work day and get home for a big ol’ nap afterwards.

  6. Shrewspeaks Says:

Oh Shelley…my heart is heavy for ya…I have soooo been there. Might I add that last video was deeply disturbing.

  7. Shrewspeaks Says:

We interupt this comment thread to bring you a MonkBot Holiday Public Service Announcement

I can’t believe I just sat through that whole video Shrew. Those poor Monkbot cousins…to be so blatantly used for in a scientific experiment!

    Down with anibot testing!

  9. Quossum Says:

Down with animal (particularly Monkbot) testing!

Shelley, I’ve been in those pajamas before–unable to sleep, surfing the ‘net for things that aren’t even interesting (sometimes finding things that are), the utter weariness the next day. Ugh.

So, {{{hugs}}}! Hope you’re able to get to bed early tonight and get some rest!

When they said “trunk monkey,” did they mean this?

Shelley, hope you catch up on your sleep. I get attacks of insomnia now and then too. Makes me think of those all-night cramming sessions back in college. Except this time, I’m not learning anything useful. Oh wait. It was the same thing then.

  11. Libby Says:

    Shelley —
Hope you get some sleep tonight. I can truly empathize — have insomnia quite a bit myself.

Loved the video of Monkbot cousins — how did Shrew find that !!? I agree to no to Monkbot testing of any kind.

  12. leejolem Says:

Ivory, the trunk monkey compilation was the funniest thing ever! “breathe with the monkey”

    I want a trunk monkey.

  13. leejolem Says:

Shelley, you better not be reading this until you’ve had a good night’s sleep!!!!!
